A belt-driven turntable uses an elastic belt to connect the motor to the platter. The motor rotates the belt, which then spins the platter smoothly while isolating vibrations for cleaner sound performance.
Yes, setup is simple and beginner-friendly. Just follow these steps:
- Install the dust cover.
- Check that the counterweight, belt, stylus, and platter are properly installed.
- Plug in the power.
- Place your vinyl record on the platter.
- Select the playback mode: switch to Phono mode (33 or 45 RPM) or choose Bluetooth input mode.
- Gently lift the tonearm and move it over the record to start playing.
You can also connect the record player to your own speaker system using an RCA cable for enhanced sound.
It depends on the type of speakers you use:
- Active speakers / Bluetooth speakers: No amplifier is needed. You can connect directly and start playing.
- Passive speakers: Yes, an external amplifier is required to power the speakers and ensure proper sound output.
