The Record Player That Brings It All Together.

A great vinyl setup should be about the music, not the equipment around it. Building a complete system can quickly mean choosing separate speakers, amplifiers, cables, and components, taking up more space and adding more complexity along the way. The HQ-KZ018 was designed to keep things simple without losing what makes vinyl special. With a quality turntable, 50W built-in speakers, and an Audio-Technica AT3600L cartridge, it brings the essential pieces together in one thoughtfully designed all-in-one record player.

Put on a favorite record, stream music from your phone, or connect external audio when your setup grows. The HQ-KZ018 gives you a simple place to start, with room to keep listening your way.

Features

Retrolife HQKZ018 HiFi Record Player and HiFi Speakers, Ideal Christmas Gift for Vinyl Lovers.

Four Drivers. One Balanced Sound.

The HQ-KZ018 brings a carefully configured 50W speaker system to an all-in-one record player. Its four-speaker architecture pairs two 15W tweeters with two 10W mid-bass drivers, giving each part of the frequency range its own dedicated driver. The tweeters handle the highs, while the mid-bass drivers add body and depth to your music.

The result is a balanced speaker setup designed to make vinyl sound fuller and more engaging, without the need for a separate amplifier or speaker system.

Balanced Sound Across The Frequency Range

Wide 50-20Hz/3dB frequency range, offering deeper bass and a broader soundstage. With 88+3dB high and 85+3dB low sensitivity, it ensures a balanced, immersive audio experience.

Bluetooth Input for Modern Streaming.

The HQ-KZ018 brings wireless listening into an all-in-one record player without adding another component to your setup. Its built-in Bluetooth input connects your smartphone, tablet, or other compatible device directly to the four-speaker system, giving you an easy way to stream playlists, podcasts, and more through the same speakers you use for vinyl.

Put on a record when you want the ritual. Stream wirelessly when you want convenience. The choice is built into the player.

  • No. The HQ-KZ018 features a built-in 50W 4-speaker system, so you can play vinyl records without purchasing a separate amplifier or speakers. If you want to expand your audio system, use the RCA audio output to connect the turntable to an external amplifier or powered speakers.

  • The HQ-KZ018 features an adjustable counterweight with a recommended tracking force of 3.5 ± 0.5g. Follow the tonearm balancing procedure in the user manual, then set the tracking force within the recommended range for stable stylus tracking.

Handle records by their edges and keep them stored properly to reduce dust and surface contamination. Replace the stylus or belt when necessary to maintain consistent playback performance.

Good little record player for the buck!

I had a little difficulty getting it set correctly and going. Directions say Mode light is white for just playing with electric, however my light is green, white and blue. I didn’t remove the plastic needle guard at first, after removing worked well. Played well, sound good, portability great, and very giftable.

Nice turntable

Got this as a Christmas gift. It is a quality turntable with a fuzzy sound at times but overall it sounds good.

good product, but don’t expect a lot from the needle is bad.

this product was so good, i got it for my birthday 2 weeks ago. i used it almost every other 2 days, and the sound was so good! i loved it- but then it started to keep skipping within the first week. i thought it was just that the record was dusty, but it was the needle. not even a week and a half after i got it, the needle broke. sure, it comes with an extra needle, but it shouldn’t be breaking that quickly. i’m disappointed in how fast this happened, and that i have to set it up again.

Bought a year ago and still holding up with average-heavy use

We bought this for a Christmas gift last year and it was well received. The kid that got it started collecting records and really enjoys it. It gets used nearly every day and after almost a year it is still working great. The value was very fair. It works great. The speakers could be a little better but it is fine. We hooked a speaker up to it for better sound. It is portable which makes it nicer

I love this!!!!

I ordered this for my wife's birthday. I choose this one over the Angels Horn019, which Wirecutter had rated significantly higher than this model.
Why? It's more expensive and I'd have to pay for shipping.
I did this because I wanted to help a smaller company that wasn't on Amazon.
My wife would appreciate that. That type of lady.
They said they would ship it out in 24 hours, and I even paid an extra $43 dollars in shipping to expedite it. Amazon was free shipping but whatever.
Well its been 80 hours and no label has even been created.
I emailed customer support. Nothing.
I called a number I found on their site. It's a business outside Boston who's message states "We are not RetroLife and have contacted them numerous times about getting our number off their site. Please help us get it off."
I own a motel and also an art gallery. It blows my mind, that they wouldn't correct this immediately.
Or they wouldn't respond to anysupport emails.
Birthday is in 28 hours; so now I'm just asking for my refund...shockingly, Retrolife is still silent.

Great record player

We wanted a record player with a built in speaker and this sounds great. It also supports bluetooth for playing other music as well. We have a smaller space so this fills it nicely and looks great for a mid century modern vibe. Highly recommend!

Retro life Revird Player

Simple to set up and use. Sound quality is good for the price paid. If you are high fidelity audio person consider bypassing this product and using your receiver even if a preamp unit is warranted.

Love the sound and the look!

The sound while playing vinyl's is phenomenal. Volume at 1/4 of the max fills the entire main level with beautiful music. Having the Bluetooth option is great for parties as well.

My SON LOVES IT

I purchased this for my son's 14th birthday. He got into LPs this year and had a rinky-dink one from Target. He chose the model specifically, and I don't regret the investment. He uses it daily, and so far we have had NO ISSUES. 10/10. We love the construction and ease of use of this unit.

High Quality Compact System

This system is top notch quality and is very attractive and compact for limited space on a shelf or table. But it has the capability of connecting external speakers or components for an even better sound quality. The Bluetooth option is a nice feature for playing your own playlist or music source from a smart phone. Packaging was very thorough and protective for shipment. Setup is detailed and accurate to achieve great sound from the quality cartridge and stylus. I would highly recommend this system!

Great starter table or gift

Great product for the price, especially as an introductory product or gift you’re just learning how to appreciate vinyl. Ultra-simplistic setup. Looks incredibly better than the photos if you’re into the vintage look. Sound quality is equivalent to a standard bluetooth speaker when using the aux input. I had been collecting vinyl from thrift shops for a while, without ever actually having a record player. So I don’t have a great frame of reference there, but definitely creates a new experience when you’re used to listening to your favorite albums on Spotify.

Does this come with auto stop when the last track of the record has been played?

Retrolife Official Store

Yes, this turntable features an auto-stop function. When the record reaches the end of the last track, the platter will automatically stop spinning to help protect the stylus and your records.

Please note that the tonearm will not return automatically, so you will need to manually lift the tonearm after playback.
